A Day To Remember

After years of planning, it finally happened.
Our small harbour Welshpool Landing received its first cruise ship. At 2:40pm Atlantic Time the "Grande Mariner" of Blount Small Ship Adventures pulled in to our wharf.
We were all impressed about the great maneuvering Captain Peter DiMarco performed. There wasn't even the slightest vibration when the ship finally touched the float dock.

A mile stone was accomplished. Harbour Master and Marine Security Officer was on duty and after a short exchange of paperworks the first passengers emerged from the ship. some of them were driven directly to the Roosevelt Park, others had booked an island tour with Campobello Sightseeing.
After 2 hours all passengers were brought back to the ship. Next destination would be the island of Grand Manan.

Of course, lots of onlookers came to see the ship and most were truly impressed by the view.

  1. How wonderful is that....wow! You must be proud to have been so instrumental in bringing more tourism to the island.
